Valeda Clark Murr, age 60, passed away on May 12, 2015. She was a resident of Cripple Creek, Colorado, for four years and was formerly a long-time resident of Colorado Springs. She worked in the rehabilitation industry.
Valeda Murr was born on August 21, 1954, to Vernon N. Clark and Doris (Millard) Clark in Lincoln, Illinois. On August 21, 2001, she married Brent Murr in Black Forest, Colorado.
Valeda was fond of antiquing. She also enjoyed treasure hunting at garage sales, and had an appreciation for crafts and reading. She graduated from high school in Sutherland, Iowa, in 1972, and graduated from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs with a degree in history.
She is survived by her children: Marcus Rohrbaugh and Stephanie Anderson; step-children: Amber Cannon and Josh Murr; her father: Vernon Clark; her siblings: Virginia Johnson, Vaughn Clark, Victor Clark, and Valerie Biasini; and her grand-daughters Victoria Anderson and Alesya Rohrbaugh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brent Murr, her mother Doris Clark, and her sister Victoria Clark.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM on May 15, 2015, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs.
