Vickie M. Connolly

Vickie M. Connolly, a resident of Colorado since 1994, passed away at her Monument home on June 15, 2014. She was a Professional Educator at the United States Air Force Academy since 1999 taking great pride in helping shape the lives of many Cadets.

She was born on April 15, 1958 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Victor and Mary Emma (McMillan) Marks. She married her high school sweetheart who was the love of her life, Mike Connolly, on August 10, 1979 in Greensboro, North Carolina. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid reader.

Vickie is survived by her husband, COL(R) Michael C. Connolly; her daughter, Michaela (husband Brad) Blankenship; her brother, Vincent Marks; her parents; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law; two grandchildren: Reese and Cooper Blankenship, who were the joy of her life.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel. Inurnment will be private.
