Virginia (Gina) Lynn Scott Wakeman

Virginia (Gina) Lynn Scott Wakeman was born on February 15, 1948 in Modesto, California and passed away on May 18, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Gina is survived by her husband of 41 years, Donald Wakeman of Colorado Springs; three daughters: Jamie and Michael Hunt of St. James, Missouri; Corinn and Bruce Korting of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Alicia and Glenn Rohlfing of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Gina is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Robert and Ryan Hunt, Christopher and Cora Korting and Alexandria Rohlfing, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Preceding her in death are her parents Keith and Cora Scott and her brother Larry Scott.

Gina was an avid reader and proud supporter of the American Legion. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and doing activities with them.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 1, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local Hospice Care. Her remains will be returned to California to rest with her parents.
