September 15, 1946 – October 31, 2024

Walter Clarence Bell, Jr., age 78, passed away on October 31, 2024.  He was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado since the mid ‘60s and was formerly a resident of Arizona. Walter worked at Honeywell and Atmel doing computer chip manufacturing, where he was part of a team that earned a US Patent for computer chip bonding during manufacturing.

He was born on September 15, 1946, and adopted by Walter Clarence Bell, Sr. and Maybelle M. (Dukett) Bell in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. On August 28, 1983, he married Marian Kay (Farley) Bell in Corvallis, Oregon.

Walter was fond of spending time with his grandchildren. He will also be remembered for being an avid reader. He attended El Paso Community College, now known as Pikes Peak State College, graduating with an associate degree. Walter served in the Marines and the Army.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Bell; his four sons: Glenn (Kellie) West, Shawn (Aimee) West, Daniel Smith, and David (Samantha) Bell; as well as his daughter, Constance (Bill) Clark. He was a grandfather to nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Additionally, Walter is survived by one brother, Raymond Young Jr; one sister, Louise Ann Young; and one special cousin, Delores Brobeck.

Walter was preceded in death by his two daughters: Kimberly Macklin and Dawn Bell; and his parents, Walter Bell, Sr. and Maybelle Bell.

A visitation for Walter will be held at 1:00PM, on Friday, November 8, 2024 with a funeral service following at 2:00PM at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A private entombment will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels.
