Wanda Rosalie (Sparks) Augustin, age 97, of Colorado Springs died peacefully on October 13, 2021 at Bear Creek Senior Living.
Mrs. Augustin was born in Nowata County, Oklahoma on October 12, 1924, to Harold and Nell Sparks. She later moved with the family to Grand Junction, Colorado where she met and married the love of her life, Jan Peter Leo Augustin. Together, they spent a lifetime of service to various communities and owned businesses from restaurants, to investments, to the very successful Augustin Galleries in Colorado Springs which specialized in exceptional antiques and fine arts.
Mrs. Augustin was preceded in death by her husband Jan and her youngest daughter Valerie Louise (Augustin) Tokarz. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Billie Joe Sparks.
Mrs. Augustin is survived by her brother Ross Harold Sparks, her daughter Mariama Nanette (Augustin) Henkel and her daughter Teresa Diann (Augustin) Bliss. She also leaves five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great granddaughters.
Mrs. Augustin was a lovely, elegant, and accomplished woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A private entombment will be held at Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Benet Hill Monastery, 3190 Benet Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80921.

She was beautiful, she was wise, she was kind, she had a quiet strength and she was devoted to her family and friends.
She knew how to love well and in the end she looked to her eternal home in Heaven with her Savior.
