Wayne Russell Radach

Wayne Russell Radach was born on January 8, 1940 to Hazel l. (Johnson) Radach and Russell A. Radach in Echo, Minnesota.

Wayne graduated Woodland Park High School in Woodland Park, Colorado in 1958 where he enjoyed playing basketball, was involved in Lutheran church youth group and made log furniture at Roberts in Woodland Park.

After high school Wayne worked for REA and in 1959 joined the Army where he was stationed in Seattle, Washington.  After honorably serving his country until 1962, Wayne started a career with the City of Colorado Springs in the underground electrical department until he retired in 1995. Wayne made longtime friends while in the army and while working at the city.

Wayne enjoyed his leather craftsmanship, woodworking, traveling and sports.

Wayne is survived by his son, Jeffery (Catherine) Radach of Sheridan, Wyoming; step daughter, Deena (Randy) Steel of Twin Falls, Idaho; granddaughters: Ashley (Kevin) Wheat of Hanford, California, and Kassidy Radach of Greeley, Colorado; sister, Vicki Gish; nieces: Adrienne (David) Vigil and Amanda (Orian) Hendrickson all from Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell; mother, Hazel; brother-in-law, Rudy Gish; and nephew, Rudy Lee Gish.

Visitation 1:30-2:30 p.m. with funeral service at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.  Private entombment, Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven.
