Wiley “Bud” Linville
November 20, 1933 – March 6, 2017
Wiley “Bud” Linville was born in Chillicothe, Missouri on November 20, 1933 to Reuben and Helen (Hoyt) Linville. Bud graduated from Chillicothe High School and joined the United States Navy in 1952. He served as a radio operator during the Korean Conflict.
On August 21, 1955 he married Elinor Stewart and together they moved to Colorado. He worked as a Customer Service Agent for Delta Airlines for over 30 years. Bud loved to travel. He also enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; his children: Wiley Todd, Trent and Tricia; his grandchildren: Matt, Benjamin, Josh, Taylor, Nicholas, Stephen, Dylan and Megan; and great-grandchildren: Charlie, Ann, Timothy, Eli and Veronica. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elinor; and grandson, Wesley.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, at Village Seven Presbyterian Church, 4040 Nonchalant Circle South, Colorado Springs, CO 80917.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado, 455 Sherman Street, Suite 500, Denver, CO 80203.
