William (Bill) F. Kenny, 84, passed away at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on November 26, 2017, surrounded by his friends and family. He was born on May 31, 1933 in Wayne, Michigan to Charles Kenny and Iva Bell (Tinker) Kenny. He was the youngest of six.
Bill was born blessed with a quick and infectious laugh that he shared with strangers and friends alike. He was the best friend of many. While Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and was an avid bowler, his family always came first. Bill entered the Army on June 1, 1954 and served until May 31, 1962. He was discharged as a disabled vet. Bill and Patricia (Pat) were married on July 15, 1978.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pat; stepson, Earl J. Laurie, Jr.; 3 sisters: Juanita K., Lois DeHetre, and Georgia Le Blanc; and 2 brothers: Jim K., and Joseph V. He is survived by Josefine Kenny; children: Lee R. Laurie; Jimi F. Reed (Charles); Colette C. Cook (Dennis); 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Bill especially wanted to mention how much he loved and appreciated Colette, Sara, Chris, Frank, and Norma, as his caregivers.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Bill touched are invited to the memorial service which will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Private burial at Fairview Cemetery.
Bill Kenny, he may be gone but he will never be forgotten.
