CSM (Ret.), William Wallace made his transition peacefully in the comfort of his home on Sunday, October 1st 2017. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 35 years and was formerly a resident of Webster Groves, Missouri before making the military his career.
CSM (Ret.) Wallace was born on June 22, 1932 to Walter Wallace and Donna (Shepard) Wallace who were married in Webster Groves, Missouri. CSM (Ret.) Wallace married Lois Henderson in Fort Leonardwood, Missouri on January 29, 1968.
CSM (Ret.) William” Braveheart” Wallace was fond of working on cars, gardening, cooking, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. In his younger days he also enjoyed riding motorcycles and was known to fellow bikers as “Vick”; he was also affectionately known as “Grampy” to just about anyone under 30 in his later years. He attended college in Colorado Springs, Colorado and graduated in 1983. He served in the United States Army for 30 years.
CSM (Ret.) William Wallace is survived by his loving wife Lois Wallace, his children: William E., Victor W., Michelle R., James H., and Mychelle A.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and one sister, Carolyn Moore. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tammie L.
A funeral memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
