Bill Kagg, age 98, passed away March 13, 2020 at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs. He was born on April 29, 1921 to Albert and Emma (Gunderson) Kagg in Warren, Minnesota. He graduated from High School in Warren, Minnesota in 1939 and served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1942 – 1945.
Bill married Mildred Monson on June 29, 1949 and was a resident of Colorado Springs since the mid 80’s. He was formerly a longtime resident of Garden Grove, California and worked from 1964-1983 for the Fullerton News Tribune as a newspaper pressman.
Bill was fond of woodworking and photography. He also enjoyed model trains and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Kagg, in 1998 and by his parents, Albert and Emma Kagg. He is survived by his son, Charles Bergsten; grandsons: Timothy Bergsten, William Bergsten, and Kevin Bergsten; and great grandchildren, Laurel and Ryan.
Services have been cancelled. A future memorial service may be scheduled. Private entombment will take place at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels.
