Our beloved Wilma Sanchez, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, and sister was called before us on May 18th 2021, at the age of 88.
She is survived by her children; daughter Terri, sons Michael Jr. and Arnie; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was born in Chama, Colorado on September 20th, 1932. After high school she moved to Denver, where she met her husband Michael, also with San Luis Valley roots. In 1957 they were married and then began to start their family. Wilma enjoyed raising her three children because a strong and loving family was part of her upbringing. From early on, she instilled her values of the Catholic faith into her growing family. Praying and going to church were very important to her.
Her outgoing personality led to her do very well working many different jobs in sales. She was a successful beauty consultant for over thirty years.
Besides visiting friends and family, Wilma enjoyed dancing at special events, and the entertainment of the casinos in Cripple Creek.
It was very clear her entire life that she loved the company of others. Now we are certain that she is surrounded by angels, and the rest of her family in heaven.
