Yvette Michelle Livengood-McIlvain
August 12, 1971 – April 10, 2015

Yvette Michelle Livengood-McIlvain, 43, passed away suddenly on April 10, 2015 in her home from heart failure due to complications with Type I diabetes. She was a resident of Littleton and was formerly a resident of Colorado Springs.

Yvette was born on August 12, 1971 to Michael and Yvonne Livengood in Laramie, Wyoming. She married Tim McIlvain on January 10, 1998 in Lake Tahoe, California. An additional wedding ceremony and reception was held in Breckenridge, Colorado on May 24, 1998.

Yvette graduated from Harrison High School in 1989 and attended Brigham Young University, studying abroad in London and graduating with honors in English in 1993. She graduated from the Sturm College of Law, University of Denver, in 2006, made law review, and passed the bar later that year. Yvette was a lover of nature and the outdoors, spending the majority of her free time in Breckenridge, and took a special interest in environmental law. She was an artist, writer, animal lover, and former devoted “Dead Head.”

She is survived by her loving husband, Tim; her beloved twins: Ava and Zeke; her mother, Yvonne; and her brother, Scott.

A memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 6th at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. in Colorado Springs. A gathering will follow at Fountain Creek Regional Park from noon to 2pm.
