Yvonne Stella Cook, age 90, passed away on September 1, 2021. She was a homemaker and a resident of Colorado Springs for more than 50 years.
Yvonne was born on November 11, 1930, to Olaf R. Mahlum and Ida Lasseson in Hastings, North Dakota. On February 4, 1956, she married Robert Charles Cook in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Yvonne loved spending time with her family and her pets. She also enjoyed fishing, and shopping with her daughter. She attended church at First Lutheran Church until her health prevented her from attending.
She is survived by her children: Matt Cook (Diane), Mark Cook, Kristy Cook and Craig Cook; her sister, Phyllis Kosley; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Cook, her brother Omar Mahlum, and her sister Ardith Swanson.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. A private interment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven.
